Weddings can be FUN! Last week my son got married to a wonderful girl. It was a great wedding!!!
What was the highlight?
Many at the wedding commented how happy Brian and Jen looked at the wedding and especially toward each other. You could clearly see how he loves his bride and his bride loves him. When they said their vows, it appeared they had no idea all the guests were listening and watching them on stage. They were there for one reason… to marry and begin a new lifelong relationship. Even the reception and celebration was exciting and fun as we celebrated the new union.
We had the blessing of Brian living at home with our family for the past seven months. As the wedding got closer every day, you could see that both Brian and Jen were getting more and more focused on preparing for their wedding and marriage. It was a blessing to get to see relationship grow and culminate this last weekend as they began a new chapter in their life.
All this reminds me of the great day of the marriage spoken of in Revelation. We read about the marriage of the lamb and how the bride has prepared herself. It will be a celebration like no other. All of our days here on earth as believers and as the bride of Christ is preparing us for the final days and the great wedding and feast / celebration. Nothing on earth should derail us nor shift our focus away from growing in our love relationship with Jesus. With all our stresses and worries here on earth, its easy to lose the long term hope we have for eternity. Every day we should continue prepare ourselves for that great day when we meet Jesus for all eternity.

Take each day and use it grow in your relationship with Jesus to prepare for eternity. Take whatever comes your way in life as God preparing you for the marriage and eternity with the Lamb!

Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
